Firecrest at Silkstone

Silkstone sewage works is alongside the old wagon trail that is just off the road which leaves Silkstone village heading towards Cawthorne. The Firecrest was watched this morning in the tall trees at the eastern edge of the works where the river runs. You will need to walk all way around on the footpath to view these trees closely. It was in a mixed flock of tits, Goldcrests, and Treecreepers. There are also at least 2 Chiffchaffs in the vicinity, as well as Nuthatch and lots of titmice.
