Wintersett + Gull Roosts 22.01.16

5 degrees with rain all morning.  Back to a mild 10 degrees and sunny with 5/8 cloud and a light south westerly this afternoon.
Wintersett Res: Cetti's Warbler 1m boathouse reeds.  A British ringed,  adult Herring Gull was found dead this afternoon.
Old Royston Flash: Fieldfare 35.
Anglers CP: Barn Owl 1,  Buzzard 4 and Golden Plover 9W.  Peregrine 1 NW at 15.55hrs.
Both Gull Roosts were watched today, but numbers of large gulls were down with many birds coming in at 17.00hrs and after dark. Viewing conditions were difficult due to the birds being head on , even though the light was good initially.  No  notables  were picked up on Wintersett Res but 2 X 2nd W  Caspian Gulls were found on ACP at 16.05 and 16.35hrs.
Of interest: Pugneys Roost had an adult Yellow-legged  Gull plus what looked like the Wintersett 4thW Caspian Gull briefly and still 53 Lesser Black-backed Gulls.  per @jonnymacbirder
