Edderthorpe..........AGAIN !!!

Had a look at Edderthorpe this evening and as per usual - its up tut ballax in watter agian!!!
More chance of finding dolphins up there than there is of finding decent waders.

It's about time the Environment Agency owned land at Houghton Washland which is at the other side of the river took a bit of strain off Edderthorpe Ings.
It's immoral and maybe unlawful that a privately owned (Edderthorpe Ings) piece of land which is a brilliant bird area should be constantly flooded at the expense of a publicly owned (Houghton Washland) piece of land who's sole purpose is to receive flood water.

The Environment Agency guys sat in their ivory tower at Phoenix House in Leeds have to choose between.......birds nests OR farmers crops........

And they are choosing to flood birds nests........every time.

Hi Nuger we are all absolutely saddened by what has happened again, but could yer tell us where's ballax situated, do we need waders or stilts.

Watter at ballax level - is a metric measurement.
Tuthers, some of whom post on this blog, may refer to that same watter level as - 'drowning level' i.e. watter above head height.
