Broomhill Flash mid morning- On the open water were 3 Tufted Duck 2m+1f, 2 Gadwall with 1 brood of 5 and 1 brood of 2, male and female Ruddy Duck, 2 Little Grebe and 2 Mute Swan. 2 Green Sandpier, 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Redshank and 1 Grey Heron were also seen. 2 juvenile Kestrel were visible at the owl box on the eastern side .
Bolton Ings late AM and early PM-Singing birds included 11 Wren, 10 Chiffchaff, 6 Blackcap, 6 Whitethroat, 6 Chaffinch, 5 Willow Warbler, 4 Reed Bunting, 2 Song Thrush, 1 Yellowhammer and 1 Skylark. On the open water were 14 Pochard, 11 Tufted Duck, 2 pairs of Mute Swans with broods of 4 and 2 cygnets, 2 Gadwall with broods of 7 and 3 ducklings, 5 adult Little Grebe + 2 young and 2 Great Crested Grebe. Also present were 4 Common Tern, 3 Kestrel, 3 Oyster catcher, 2 Grey Heron, 1 Sedge Warbler, 1 Sand Martin, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Green Woodpecker and 1 Mediterranean Gull.
