The final number of species seen in the Old Moor Area in 2015 was 167.
At the end of October the total was 164 and a further 3 species were added up to New Years Eve as follows:- Red Crested Pochard on 24th November (165), Waxwing on 11th December (166) and Hen Harrier on 30th December (167).
A couple of notable absentees for the year were Little Stint and probably for the first time ever Knot! There were no Sandwich or Little Terns seen but overall 167 was a decent total.
The cumulative total for each month was a follows:-
Jan - 98, Feb - 103, Mar - 112, Apr - 138, May - 144, Jun - 149, Jul - 155, Aug - 158, Sep - 160, Oct - 164, Nov - 165, Dec - 167.
For comparison, other inland sites totals were as follows:-
Lound, Nottinghamshire 170,
Swillington Ings, West Yorkshire 176,
Upton Warren, Worcestershire 146,
Hatfield Moors, South Yorkshire 170,
Potteric Carr, South Yorkshire 161.

An enjoyable and informative read of the last year, particularly those species that were missing. What would be good to add in future are the totals of previous years so the present year can be viewed in perspective to those.
