Bolton Ings late AM/early PM- 80% of eastern pool covered by thin ice. On the much-reduced open water were 2 Mute Swan, 1 Greylag, 18 Shoveler, 13 Tufted Duck, 13 Pochard, 3m+5f Goldeneye, 7 Mallard, 6 Teal, 1f Goosander, 57 Common Gull, 43 BH Gull, 1 LBB Gull and 41 Coot. Also present were 18 Canada Geese, 4 Cormorant, 2 Buzzard, 2 Sparrowhawk, 1 Kestrel, 2 Snipe and 1 Song Thrush.
TPT- Noted were c12 Redwing, 2 yaffling Green Woodpecker, 2 Bullfinch and a group of 10 Goldfinch + 1 Lesser Redpoll.
