Wintersett + Gull Roost 02.01.15

5°C with 6/8 cloud,  but felt cold in the strong westerly.
Wintersett Res: Willow Tit 1.  The Drake Smew flew from the north east corner to the west bank at 11.30hrs. Later this afternoon it was on Anglers CP and was still present at dark.
Anglers CP: Teal 31,  Canada Goose 203,  Cormorant 19 and Shoveler 2
Anglers CP Gull Roost: Viewing conditions were difficult tonight with all birds head on to the hide. Just 2 notables tonight.  A 1stW Glaucous X Herring hybrid flew over at 14.55hrs.  A 3rd W Caspian flew in at 16.25hrs.
Other Yorkshire notables: Pugneys had an adult Caspian and 4 Yellow-leggeds - per @jonnybirder
Wheldrake Ings had a Kumlien's , back as an adult for the 3rd consecutive winter - per @ YorkBirding
Hampole Tip had a juvenile Iceland - per @ DonnyBirding
Flamborough had a juvenile Glaucous - per @FlamboroughBird
