Wintersett + Gull Roosts 31.01.15

4°C,  dry but mostly cloudy with a very cold north westerly. 
9 Whooper Swans did a tour of the district today.  First seen at Anglers CP. They left north at 10.03,  were seen at Pugneys shortly afterwards before being picked up again on Wintersett Res at 10.50.  They left west at 12.35hrs and were seen mid afternoon on Wath Ings, RSPB Old Moor.
Wintersett Res: Pochard 26 + 1 ACP and  Willow Tit 1.  A Weasel was seen in the SE corner.
Anglers CP Gull Roost: 4 notables tonight with a 2nd W Mediterranean Gull at 15.00hrs,  A juvenile Iceland Gull at 16.08hrs, a 3rd W Caspian Gull at 16.45hrs and the usual adult Yellow-legged Gull at 17.03hrs.  Great Black-backed Gull 200,  Lesser Black-backed Gull 5 and Herring Gull 1050.
NB: Pugneys had a 2ndW Yellow-legged Gull - per @MickgCunningham
Bar Lane, Knaresborough had a 1st W Yellow-legged Gull per @andyjowett
Poolsbrook CP, Derbyshire had a juvenile Glaucous Gull per @Linacreblogger
