Weather springlike this morning when I set out, 5c with a few clouds and little wind, however the paths still had ice and snow in sheltered places. Generally quiet today, highlights being the pair of Stonechats surviving, 10 Goldeneye and Shoveler a healthy 78. Comparing todays numbers with this date last year showed 2 big differences, Coot 224 last year down to 39 today and Shoveler 3 last year up to 78 today. Has the food in the Ings changed for these 2 species?
Visited Old Moor for the roost this evening, Goosander 48 on the Wader Scrape and Little Egret 2 and Cormorant 3 in the willows.
