Nowt to match yesterdays excitement at Old Moor but a few snippets were, - Wilthorpe Marsh, very quiet with 3 Green Sandpipers and a pair of Teal at the oxbow lake. 2 separate Willow Tits on the river at SE 339085 and 335089. Teamed up with Simmo at Low Moor / Midhope at 12-50 pm till just before 4-00 pm when strong wind and heavy rain halted the birding. Birds hard to come by now the breedings dropping off, - a Red Kite drifted e. towards Stocksbridge at 2-15 pm., Buzzard 2, Kestrel thought to be 5+, Crossbill 1+ heard only, Siskin 16+, Oystercatcher a party of 4, GS Woodpecker 1, LBB Gull 1, Snipe 3, still a trickle of Swifts e. to w. 150 + counted.
