Edderthorpe, Tuesday

A noticeable bit of movement here today with a few decent waders on the move. Two Sanderling and five Dunlin are new and were present much of the day. A Whimbrel came in briefly at 06.35 before continuing northwards. Black-tailed Godwits started at 20 early morning and were up to 22 mid afternoon. Greenshank 1, Redshank 1, Lapwing 245, Ringed Plover 1, LRP 3, Common Sandpiper 3 and Green Sandpiper 6 were also present. Little Egrets had built up to 20 by 07.00, a juvenile Shelduck remains and the geese are quickly building up after what looks like a successful breeding season, Canada 118 and Greylag 149.
