Wintersett 10.07.15

18 - 23°C very warm and humid, with scattered cloud and a light southerly.
Anglers CP: Common Tern 1 adult,  Mallard 8 medium young + 5 small young Disp.Pt..
PSYCHO - the adult Yellow-legged Gull paid a visit late afternoon.
Moorhouse Lane Ponds:  Siskin 2,  Gadwall 1 f + 13 young.
Odonata:  A male LESSER  EMPEROR was seen off the south bank WRes at 13.30hrs.  The last one seen was in 2007.
Moth trappng overnight produced a SMALL  MOTTLED WILLOW which is a migrant from southern Europe.  This ties in with  7 on the 8th and 18 caught last night at Bawdsey Hall, Suffolk. Others of interest: Scarce Silver-lines,  Scallop Shell,  Scarce Footman and  Dingy Shears.
