The sluice in the new scrape on the southern meadow was opened yesterday morning. Today with much reduced water levels 3 Redshank were feeding and an Oystercatcher was chasing a Buzzard off. Also present Lapwing, Kingfisher and Tufted Duck.
In the main marsh 3 pairs of Dabchick had broods of 3, 1 and 1. There were new broods of Gadwall (10) and Moorhen (4).
