The highlights today were; Redshank 2, Common Sandpiper 1, Lapwing 4 (2 on nests) Kingfisher, Buzzard, Little Owl, Cuckoo, Tufted Duck 13, Whitethroat 6 and Reed Warbler 7 singing males. The recently excavated areas are now maturing and are becoming much more attractive to birds.
