Wintersett Res: The adult drake LESSER SCAUP was on the boathouse slipway first thing but moved to the south west corner late morning. Common Tern 15, Common Sandpiper 1, Little Ringed Plover 1 over and Mallard 3 small ducklings.
Anglers CP: A 1st Summer LITTLE GULL flew in mid afternoon. A 1st Summer Common Gull flew north. The Oystercatchers (northern pair) have hatched young. Water Rail 2 calling. SWIFT 900 and House Martin 100.
Other good news today - The Sand Martins are nest building in the Sand Martin box!
