Wintersett 03.05.15

Heavy rain overnight flooded most of the car park and continued until 10.00hrs.  7°C, with an easterly,  cloud cleared gradually.  Sunny and warm 14°C this afternoon. 
For this time of year, there was a phenomenal 700 Sand Martin in the area this morning (420 WRes + 280 ACP).    Also  Common Tern 19 (13 WRes + 6 ACP).
Anglers CP: Day 6 for the drake Garganey.  Yellow Wagtail 7,  White Wagtail 1,  Common Sandpiper 4,  Snipe 4,  Dunlin 1,  Teal 1m,    A HOBBY flew over SW at 14.55hrs.  Herring Gull 13,  Great Black-backed Gull 1.
Wintersett Res:  Mallard with a brood of 10 ducklings.
