Wader passage - at last...

Edderthorpe Flash, Monday. It has been rather slow going this spring at this site but finally things looked up today, clearly a day when lots of waders are on the move. A breeding plumage Sanderling was the first decent bird to appear, followed by a Little Stint a Avocet, a Ruff and a few Dunlin and Ringed Plovers. By late evening Ringed Plovers had built up to 31 and Dunlin to 9, with 4 LRPs and 18 Redshank for company. The drake Garganey is still present on the Flash, Teal 2 and Shelduck 4.
