The Edge 26th May

Wombwell Ings- Present were 42 Greylag, 17 Canada Geese, 1 Shelduck, 12 Tufted Duck, 11 Gadwall, 7 Mallard( +1 female and 8 ducklings on Bulling Dyke ), 1m Wigeon, 2 Grey Partridge, 1 Grey Heron, 21 Coot, 2 Moorhen, 6 Lapwing, 3+ Redshank, 1 Ruff, 26 BH Gull, 3 Skylark and 3 Pied Wagtail.
Broomhill Flash-  Noted were 2 Mute Swan, 28 Canada Geese, 10 Greylag, 7 Shelduck, 15 Gadwall, 12 Tufted Duck, 9 Mallard, 3 Pochard, 5 Little Grebe, 2 Great Crested Grebe, 19 Coot, 2 Moorhen, 2 Kestrel, 5 Lapwing  and 1 LBB Gull.
Warbler Way- Singing males included 10 Willow Warbler, 6 Blackcap, 5 Chiffchaff, 5 Whitethroat, 2 Sedge Warbler, 1 Reed Warbler, 1 Garden Warbler and 1 Song Thrush.
Bolton Ings- On the open water were 3 Mute Swan + 6 cygnets, 6 Canada Geese, 33 Tufted Duck, 8 Gadwall, 6 Mallard, 4 Pochard, 6 Great Crested Grebe, 2 Little Grebe, 38 Coot, 2 Moorhen and 1 Common Gull. Also present were 1 Grey Heron, 2 Lapwing, 1 Oystercatcher, 1 Kestrel and 1 Green Woodpecker.
