Hi Pete, where exactly are the Wood Warbler and where is Wharncliffe Wood in relation to if I am driving from the Jet petrol station on the A61 towards Halifax Road with what I thought was Grenoside woods on both sides?

If you park at the car park on Woodhead Road near Grenoside and walk W from there you walk into Wharncliffe Wood. WWs are scattered throughout the wood, but if you head down the main path from the carpark, past a clearing on your left, and head S where the main path forks, you should get one or two before too long.
