Ingbirchworth area

Royd Moor Reservoir - 3 Tufted Ducks, 1 whinneying Little Grebe, 1 Great Crested Grebe and two pairs of Coot. The following singing warblers were present- Blackcap (8), Garden Warbler (3), Common Whitethroat (3), Chiffchaff (1) and Willow Warbler (18).
Whitley Common - 46 Stock Doves, 30+ Jackdaws, 80+ Rooks and c10 Carrion Crows. Also with the corvids was the very strange looking hybrid Rook x Jackdaw/runt Carrion Crow/runt Rook.. It is associating with Rooks and Jacdaws and is intermediate in size. The bill was rook shape but it has no bare skin at the base. The back is a brownish-grey as is the belly and head and upper breast is black. If I were to stick my neck out I would go for a runt/aberrant Rook, but I could well be wrong and would not rule out any of the other possibilities or a combination of any. A weird looking bird!
Ingbirchworth Reservoir - 4 Geylag Geese, 31 Canada Geese, 40 Mallards, 1 drake Tufted Duck, two pairs of Little Grebes, 2 Great Crested Grebes, 14 Coots, two pairs Moorhen, 1 Oystercatcher, 4 Black-headed Gulls ,6 (4 first-summers & 2 second summer) Lesser Black-backed Gull and a Great Spotted Woodpecker feeding young in the nest by the reservoir side.
