Edderthorpe, Tuesday

Following the influx of Tundra Ringed Plover here yesterday evening it was no real surprise to find them all gone this morning, clearly pressing on with their northward bound migration. The Little Stint is rather surprisingly still present as are the 9 Dunlin, but everything else appears to have moved on. A Ruff is different from the very small individual present yesterday, a winter plumaged Sanderling with 3 Ringed Plovers dropped in at 05.55 but only stayed for 2 minutes before leaving to the north and a further 13 Ringed Plovers were present later in the afternoon. LRP 4, Common Sandpiper 1, Redshank 16 were also present and a Peregrine put in an appearance during the afternoon.
