Avocet Decline

The Avocet is listed on Schedule 1 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act1 1981,which afford special protection at all times. It is the emblem of the RSPB and symbolises the Protection Movement in the U.K.more than any other species. We usually see them along Coastal lagoons, now they are seeking inland wetlands. They have recently choose to nest on the Old Moor RSPB. Ten pair of adults have produced fourteen young. How many are there left now very few I have been told. So where is the conservation and protection project
