Ferrymoor and Cudworth Common

A walk around these areas early morning checking out breeding birds and wildfowl revealed;-
Ferrymoor - Greylag Goose 31, Canada Goose 64, Mallard 65 plus at least 2 new broods, Shoveler 1
Cudworth Common (including Symphony enclosure) - Little Grebe 2, Mallard 11 plus brood of 10, Tufted 2, Lapwing 57 plus a new brood of 4, Redshank 6 adults, Ringed Plover 10, LRP 2, Skylark 19 singing, Meadow Pipit just 3 singing - hope this isn't replicated across the country or vis-miggers will be brassed off this autumn if numbers of this staple migrant are diminished, Blackcap 7singing, Whitethroat 4singing, Garden Warbler 1singing, Willow Warbler 8singing, Yellowhammer 2singing.
