Old Moor Fantastico!

More great news on the breeding front today as yesterdays suspected new brood of Avocets was confirmed today - two chicks. So that's four broods of two so far (minus one to a Magpie) and still four birds sitting. Add to that, Barn Owls feeding young and Long-eared Owls thought to be doing the same and you began to think things couldn't get a lot better. That is until the news came in from the Reedbeds that the Bitterns have not two young, but in fact three, and pretty well grown at that. Fantastic! Not much change otherwise, the Little Egret was on the Field Pool tonight whilst 4 LRP, a couple of Teal and several Pochard were on Wader Scrape.

Excellent brilliant news!!!

In the teal and pochard on the wader scrape are there any females that may have succumbed to the weather?
