Twilight birding

Low Moor, Upper Midhope - 1 Oystercatcher + 2 young, 1 Lapwing + 2 young and 3 Common Snipe.
Range Moor - 2 Cuckoos.
Langsett Reservoir - 1 juvenile Ring Ouzel, 1+ Nightjar and 3+ Woodcocks.
Wind Hill Wood - 2 roding Woodcocks.
(Apparently at least 5 Nightjars at this site last year).

Mammals - 5+ Pipistelle and summert bigger, perhaps a Daubenton's.

where is Wind Hill Wood please.

Coming from Bolsterstone towards Barnside Moor the road (Long Lane) passes Whitwell Moor on the left. Before the road dips sharply there is a car park. Looking towards Barnside Moor there is a path on the right that leads to some small crags (Wind Hill Crags). Wind Hill Wood is below (behind Barnside Farm).

This was a site we surveyed for Nightjars last summer and we got nowt - maybe we were unlucky!
