Broomhill Flash- 18 Tufted Duck, 3 Gadwall, 2 Mute Swan, 1Little Grebe, 2 Kestrel, 1 Shoveler, 1 Redshank and 100+ Swifts.
Bolton Ings- Singing males included 12 Chiffchaff, 10 Blackcap, 10 Wren, 6 Willow Warbler, 6 Chaffinch, 5 Whitethroat, 3 Reed Bunting,2 Yellowhammer and 1 Garden Warbler. On the open water were 24 Gadwall, 21 Tufted Duck, 4 Pochard, 4 Little Grebe, 4 Lesser Black-backed Gulls( 2 adults+ 2 second summer ), 4 adult Mute Swans( broods of 2 and 4 cygnets), 3 Common Tern and 2 Great Crested Grebes. Other birds included 4 Kestrel, 2 Sparrowhawk, 1 Buzzard, 3 Oystercatcher , 1 Green Woodpecker and 2 Kingfisher.
