Birds from the brown-stuff

My usual pre-work visit to Broomhill Flash brought a welcome surprise as the decision to drop the water levels there brought with it a strange sticky-brown stuff - mud! Instant reward came with a flock of six vociferous Curlew, whilst Lapwings, Redshank and LRP were not only present, but on view too. My money goes on the flash to produce the first returning Green Sand' any day now.
