Cudworth Common

Of significance today was: 30 Canada Geese, 2 Oystercatcher, 4 Redshank (alarming) 1 with at least 1 small young, a pair of Coot with 5 young and another in the process of hatching, all on the bottom ponds. On the bypass pond were a pair of Mute Swan and a drake Shoveler.  Elsewhere singing males included Cuckoo 1, Blackcap 2, Willow Warbler 2, Meadow Pipit 1. On the north side of the Symphony factory were 1 adult Ringed Plover with 3 immatures, c5 pairs of Lapwing with young, 2 Redshank alarming near a nest site on the boundary with the Common and 6 Brown Hares.  On the south side were 2 Lapwings on their respective nests, 1 Meadow Pipit and 2 Red Legged Partridges.
