MIKE RICHARDSON

With great sadness we have to report the passing away of the larger than life character Mike Richardson. He died early this morning. Mike was a top bird photographer and a superb speaker, his annual 'show' at the BBSG Meetings was always well anticipated, well attended and always very well received (despite his often colourful language). There is no one else like Mike, his superb photography could have carried a show alone, but add in his fantastic humour and wit and a entertaining evening was guaranteed. He will be sorely missed but his memory will live long in all who knew him. RIP Mike, a true birding character.
