Disposal Point Odonata:On the 21st July 2014 Paul Meredith had the first local record of a Red-eyed Damselfly, found at Nostell Pond. It's in the Barnsley BSG recording area, but unfortunately, 570 linear metres outside the Wintersett area There was speculation that, because of the late date, it could have been a member of a breeding colony.
Today we confirmed that there is a breeding colony of Red-eyed Damselfly at Nostell Pond, with 14 males and 4 pairs in cop seen on and around the waterlily pads this afternoon.
