The Edge 19th June

Never mind the bird sightings, even the weather's not changing much from day to day. Waiting for a nice Spring day!!!
Wombwell Ings - Present were 2 Mute Swan, 21 Gadwall, 8 Tufted Duck, 6 Mallard, 2 Grey Heron, 1 Cormorant, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 9 Coot, 4 Moorhen, 6 Lapwing, 3 Redshank, 4 BH Gull ( even they are avoiding the Ings ), 2 Skylark, 1 Meadow Pipit, 1+1y Grey Wagtail, 1 Sedge Warbler and 1 Garden Warbler.
Broomhill Flash - Noted were 2 Mute Swan +5 cygnets, 31+2y Canada Geese, 1 Greylag, 13 Tufted Duck, 8+6y Mallard, 7 Gadwall, 2+1y Pochard, 1 Cormorant, 3 Little Grebe, 73 Coot, 4 Moorhen,21 Lapwing, 1 Redshank,  2 Little Owl, 2 Skylark and 1 Blackcap.
Warbler Way - Singing males included 10 Chiffchaff, 6 Willow Warbler, 6 Blackcap and 5 Whitethroat.
Bolton Ings - On the open water were 3 Mute Swan +4 cygnets, 4 Canada Geese,19 Tufted Duck,  14+2y Gadwall,6+2y Mallard, 1 Pochard, 4 Great Crested Grebe, 5 Little Grebe, 106 Coot, 2+1y Moorhen, and 1 Common Gull. Also present were 1 Grey Heron, 2 Kestrel, 1 Oystercatcher and 1 Avocet.
