The Edge 2nd June

Wombwell Ings - Present were 2 Mute Swan, 29 Canada Geese, 10 Greylag, 5 Shelduck over, 10 Mallard, 9 Gadwall, 8 Tufted Duck, 2 Shoveler, 1m Wigeon, 2 Red Legged Partridge, 1 Cormorant, 21 Coot, 4 Moorhen, 4 Lapwing, 2 Redshank, 2 Little Ringed Plover, 13 BH Gull, 3 Skylark, 2 Pied Wagtail, 1 Meadow Pipit, 1 Yellow Wagtail and 2 Linnet..
 Broomhill Flash - Noted were 2 Mute Swan, 13 Canada Geese, 7a + 4y Greylag, 4 Shelduck, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 4 Little Grebe, 18 Tufted Duck, 13 Pochard, 12 Gadwall, 7 Mallard, 21 Coot, 3 Moorhen, 128 BH Gull and 4 LBB Gull.
Warbler Way - Singing males included 7 Blackcap, 7 Chiffchaff, 5 Willow Warbler, 5 Whitethroat and 1 Song Thrush.
Bolton Ings - On the open water were 2 Mute Swan + 6 cygnets, 9 Canada Geese +4y, 33 Tufted Duck, 11 Mallard, 6 Gadwall, 5 Great Crested Grebe, 2 Little Grebe, 41 Coot, 3 Moorhen, 3 LBB Gull and 1 Common Gull. Also present were 1 Cormorant, 5 Oystercatcher, 1 Kestrel and 1 Green Woodpecker.
