Up to five Little Egrets were present late afternoon. At least 11 Ringed Plovers and 4 Little Ringed Plovers (all adults except for a single juvenile Ringed), 7 Redshank including the first migrant juvenile, and 4 Black-tailed Godwits are on the mud. A Green Sandpiper and a chipping Common Snipe are on Houghton. The three Lapwing broods from last week are all still surviving and a new brood of 8 Tufted Ducks has emerged.
